In this session we’ll practice ball control while running, trying to keep up the speed while kicking the ball. We’ll need the MESSI FOOTBALL, and 2 CONES. Place the cones with 20 steps distance between them. Place the football at one of the cones, and start running towards the next cone while kicking the football in the same direction. Make a u-turn around the cone, and run back to the first one. Alternate your feet at every second kick. Start slowly, and as you manage to control the ball, speed up and run faster.
In this session, we will practice the race increasing the speed and controlling the ball with the foot, trying to avoid the cones. For this session, we’ll need the training ball and the cones. Place the cones in a row two steps away from each other: there will be a zigzag path between the cones. Leave the ball in a cone and start jogging in the direction of the opposite cone drawing it, while hitting it in the same direction. Try to alternate the feet, at first kick the ball slowly according to the speed, and then, increase the speed as you get the control of the ball.
In this session we will practice to kicking the ball in the air while we are running. The goal is trying to control the direction of the ball in the air while we run. For this, we need the TRAINING BALL. Take the end of the rope with one hand, place the ball at the height of the shin and begin to hit it in the same direction as the race, keeping the direction and height of the ball contracted. You should kick the ball 10 times with one foot and then change the foot. If you do not get it, you must start over again.
In this session we’ll practice kick ups with the ball in the air, learning to control the ball’s direction and avoid it from falling to the ground. For this exercise we’ll use the MESSI TRAINING BALL. Grab the cord with one hand, and adjust the lenght so that the ball touches the upside of your foot when holding it from your waist. Start kicking the ball softly up and down on your foot, controling the direction and height of the ball. Stand as still as posible and don’t move the other foot. Kick 10 times with one foot, and then change.
In this exercise, we will learn to do The Loop, like Messi does on the video. Hold the training ball so that the ball hangs 10cm from the floor. Adjust the cord to hold it straight in front of your waist. To do the loop, kick the ball with your right foot, outwards to the left, swing it over your head using the centrifugal force, and let it fall down in front of you from the right. With your left foot, kick the ball towards the right and back again, and catch it with your right foot.
In this session we will practice to control the movement of the ball in the air, trying to not let it fall to the ground. We’ll need the training ball and the TRAINING STATION. Take the ball with both hands, drop the ball and kick it in to the CURVED RAMP direction, so that it returns between your hands. Then, you should alternate the foot in each ball hit, if it falls, you must start over again. You can try to kick 5 times with your foot without letting the ball fall to the ground.
In this session, we will practice controlling the direction of the ball when we hit it with the foot, trying to knock down the cones. For this, we need the Football Ball and the cones. Place the cones in a row with a gap of one step between them. You should be four steps away from the center, that will be the firing area. Start to shoot the ball trying to knock down the cones. We advise you to hit the ball with the instep to control better the ball. You should try to knock down all the cones in a maximum of 20 attempts.
In this session we will practice the control of the ball when we hit it with the foot, and also our precision, while trying to pass the ball through the holes of the goal. We’ll need the Football and the Target Goal. Place a cone three steps from the goal, that will be the closest area from which you can hit the ball. Then, from where you prefer, hit the ball trying to enter it by the same holes each time, we advise you to hit with the instep to better control your hits. You should get it 3 times through the same hole in 15 shots, if you miss the hole you must start again.
In this session we will practice the control of the direction of the ball and the aim when we hit it with the foot, trying to pass the ball through the holes of the footvolley. For this we need the Football Ball and the Footvolley. Place a cone three steps from the Footvolley, that will be the closest area from which you can hit the ball. Then, from where you prefer hit the ball trying to enter it through the same hole each time. We advise you to hit the ball with the part between the instep and the tip of your foot to be able to elevate it, and control it more easily when hitting the ball. You must get it 3 times through the same hole in 10 shots, if you miss the hole you must start again.
